The beautiful cultural and public event of the past autumn is the debut of Tamás Fábián, and we are pleased to see the author in the spring season as well. He is asked by Dr. Tamás Honti about the great issues of creative and literary stakes, which are also discussed in the novel, and about the place of novel characters during the crisis.
Tamás Fábián: Brave Stunts No One Has Seen Corvina, 2025
Writing is a bloody serious thing, it can be deadly. A novel can change our lives, especially if it is not ready, and we need to find the missing closing chapter. It is never too late to start over, be it friendship, family relations, or a desire to create everything that is buried in our soul. The question is, do we dare face our most fearsome demons and try to jump our own shadows at least? The feats that no one has seen are young, but they have grown up. They are rural and Budapesters. They are vassals of a corrupt power, as well as the indescribable critics of the system. While the world is moving towards the abyss, and the heat of the Earth is making its inhabitants more and more challenging, our problems remain largely unchanged: do we dare to call someone who has been swept away from us? Can we apologize, and even more: can we forgive? Wherever we are in our lives, the answer is never simple.
